I have a macro written for Mac, which doesn't seem to pull data from another file. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac, so can't debug it myself. So I need someone to assist me in that.
Before any code can be executed, it needs to be compiled, but not all code in a project must necessarily be compiled before the Visual Basic Editor can start executing the first parts of the code. With this in mind, let's take a look at the 2 options that appear in the General tab. Option #1: Compile On Demand.
I will send you 2 files: 1 file with macro (code will be open, so you can see what it does) and 1 target file. I'd need you to run macro several times (based on my instructions) and send me the files back, so that I can amend the macro to work as desired. In total, I don't think you'd spend more than 30 minutes on this project.
Oh, no! Visual Basic macros are no longer supported in Excel 2008 for Mac, which might make things a little difficult for you if you're used them a lot in the past, or if somebody else gives you spreadsheets using them.
